Rigorous Analysis
Every matter begins with the record, read completely and without assumption. Analysis precedes theory. The question is not what argument is available but what the record will actually support.

Clear Advocacy
Complexity in a record is not a license for complexity in a brief. Issues are framed so a court can locate them quickly, evaluate them fairly, and act on them cleanly.

Individual Responsibility
Matters are owned, not processed. The attorney who reads the record is accountable for the argument that follows from it and for the standard of the work that leaves the firm.

Meaningful Outcomes
The measure of the work is whether the right question reached the court and was decided on its merits. That standard applies regardless of the difficulty of the case.
In practice
Judgment is the scarce resource.
Most records contain more that could be argued than should be. Deciding what to leave out — and defending that decision internally — is where experience shows. The firm expects that discipline of everyone who touches a matter.
